Baja Bliss guava kava drink from GÜD Tonics

Baja Bliss: Our Guava Kava Drink, Explained

Last revised 2 October 2026. See how we revise this guide at the end of the page.

Say hello to Baja Bliss, the guava drink in the GÜD Tonics line. It's juicy, bright and lightly sweet, made for porch hangs, patio nights and any evening you'd rather skip the alcohol. This page covers how it tastes, what's in the bottle, how to serve it and who it's for.

Table of Contents

Quick Facts

  • Flavor: guava.
  • Made with: noble kava root extract and Mitragyna speciosa (kratom), lightly sweetened with stevia.
  • Servings: two per bottle, as listed on the label.
  • Sizes: single bottle, 3-pack or a box of 12.
  • Lab tested: every lot's report is on our Lab Results page.
  • Adults 21+ only.

How It Tastes

Baja Bliss leads with ripe, tropical guava. It's fruity without being heavy, and the stevia keeps it lightly sweet rather than syrupy. Like all kava drinks, there's a gentle earthy note underneath, but the guava does most of the talking.

A quick correction while we're here: some older posts on this blog called Baja Bliss a lime drink. That was wrong. Baja Bliss is guava, and the lime in our line belongs to Pink Sunset.

What's in the Bottle

Here's the full ingredient list from the label: water, glycerin, noble kava root extract, sunflower lecithin, natural flavors, stevia, citric acid, Mitragyna speciosa, potassium sorbate (preservative) and piperine extract.

Because it contains kratom, Baja Bliss is for adults 21 and over only. Each lot is tested, and you can read the report for the bottle you're holding on our Lab Results page.

How to Serve It

  • Straight and cold. Chill it well and pour it over plenty of ice.
  • With a little fizz. Top it with sparkling water for a lighter, spritz-style drink.
  • With food. Guava plays nicely against salty, savory bites like chips and guacamole, street corn or fish tacos. Our food pairings guide has more ideas.

Who It's For

Baja Bliss is for adults 21 and over who like a fruity, tropical flavor and want an alcohol-free drink for a slow evening or a get-together.

It's not for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Never mix it with alcohol, and don't drink it before driving. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says kava products have been linked to rare cases of liver injury, so talk to your doctor first if you have a liver condition or take medication. Each product page lists the states and counties we don't ship to.

How We Revise This Guide

We revise our guides a little at a time as we learn more, rather than publishing once and leaving them alone. That's why every guide carries the date it was last revised. If you spot something that's wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.

Revision history

  • 2 October 2026: Rewrote the whole guide and gave it a new title. The earlier version called Baja Bliss a lime drink and described it in health terms we can't stand behind. This version describes what it is, how it tastes and how to serve it. We also folded five older Baja Bliss posts into this one, so their old addresses now bring you here.
